Dry fuses - type R are used for the equipment and welder protection from reverse flame-blow during the hand autogenous welding and acetylene, propane-butane or some other combustible gas cutting. They can be also used at the operation points of central power line as an additional (secondary) form of protection. The fuses are made in several types which enable their connecting to a torch handle, gate valves or rubber hose extension. It is recommendable to test the fuse to a reverse blow once a year. It is not allowed to open the fuse.
